What is the meaning of life?" is a fundamental philosophical question that, roughly speaking, is about the meaning of one's own existence

The meaning of the question.

 A supernatural Godwho has created man with a purpose within an overall plan. One can still doubt whether being created with an overall purpose is enough to achieve a meaningful life. 

Certain people are created by their parents within a plan and an overall relationship. For example, we can imagine children who are created only for the purpose of helping on the family farm. Such lives, however, will not strike us as more meaningful than human lives that come about by chance. 

If being created by God is to be able to give a valuable type of meaning to our lives, then something more is needed. 

One can think here that our lives get a valuable type of meaning through being part of a plan that is valuable in itself. Within many religions, however, this plan is not comprehensible to humans,

A scientific worldview in which the earth and human existence are the result of chance or purposeless forces may seem to threaten such a meaning of life in which we are created to be part of a valuable

 order. Some philosophers, such as Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900) and Albert Camus (1913–1960), believed that this entails a risk of existential nihilism , in which life and the values ​​that govern it appear meaningless or absurd. Other philosophers, such as Jean-Paul Sartre (1905–1980), 

on the other hand, have thought that life can be understood as meaningful through purposes that are not determined for us from outside, but which are instead chosen by ourselves. 

The teleological conception of nature we find inAristotle (384–322 BCE), also provides a framework for thinking that man has an inherent function by virtue of being the kind of being we are, without our needing to appeal to any form of divinity.
